Project Overview

Nudgee is an AI-powered reading app for iOS and Android that turns every child into the hero of their own story. Using generative AI, the platform creates fully illustrated, personalised adventures where kids can read independently, listen to professional narration, or follow along with on-screen text. Parents get a safe, ad-free environment; children get a library that literally knows their name—and even features siblings or friends as supporting characters. WebArt Design partnered with Nudgee to design, build, and launch the cross-platform app, integrating real-time story generation, text-to-speech, and cloud-based image creation into a single, kid-friendly experience.

Problem Statement

Traditional e-books struggle to keep young readers engaged, and many parents worry about screen time spent on games or videos that offer little educational value. Off-the-shelf reading apps provide static content, seldom adapt to a child’s interests, and rarely let families participate in the fun. Nudgee needed a secure, COPPA-compliant solution that could:

• Make reading feel as interactive and exciting as a game.
• Personalise stories so children see themselves—and loved ones—inside the narrative.
• Offer multiple reading modes (read-alone, read-along, listen) to support different literacy levels.
• Deliver all of this on both iOS and Android without compromising privacy or performance.
